Storm Large tried to make the most of her Wild Card bid on America's Got Talent on Tuesday night (Aug. 24). The powerhouse rock singer and Simon Cowell favorite, who got a fan-voted bid in the quarterfinals round thanks to her previous revved-up re-do of the jazz pop standard "I've Got You Under My Skin," tried to capture lightning in a bottle again, but the hill was a bit harder to climb the second time.
Storm, who made it to fifth place on NBC's Rock Star: Supernova reality singing show in 2006, was overwhelmed when Cowell called to invite her back. "I feel so incredibly grateful that America voted for me. I was so flattered and honored. I got another chance," said Large, 52, in a package in which she described her nearly 30-year bid to break into the music business. Though she's come close to getting a record deal and releasing an album over the years, Large predicted the AGT live show could be a "game-changing" chance.
