In a promo for this weekend's Halloween episode of Saturday Night Live, a masked John Mulaney is surrounded by musical guests The Strokes and joined by cast member Ego Nwodim as they remind people that Daylight Savings Time ends just as the show goes off air. "And don't forget to turn back your clocks," Strokes singer Julian Casablancas adds.

"Is there anything else coming up that we want to remind them about?,"Mulaney asks as everyone shrugs their shoulders. "Thanksgiving?" Casablancas says, seemingly forgetting that the election is on Tuesday (Nov. 3). In a second promo Mulaney -- who will join the four-timers club with this weekend's slot -- kind of takes the blame for the whole lockdown thing.

"And when was the last time you hosted?" Nwodim asks.

"February 2020," Mulaney responds.

"And what has happened since then?"

"A global pandemic that ruined everything," he says.

"John Mulaney you cursed us!"

"Yeah... sorry about that!," he says with a sheepish grin (we think, he had a mask on, of course.)

Okay, so maybe it wasn't completely his fault, but Mulaney was the second-to-last guest host before the show had to go virtual in March.
