H.E.R., Jill Scott to Perform; Alicia Keys, Janelle Monae to Present at 2020 NAACP Image Awards: Exclusive

H.E.R. with Skip Marley and Jill Scott will perform at the 51st annual NAACP Image Awards, which will air live on BET for the first time on Saturday (Feb. 22) from Pasadena, Calif. at 8 p.m. ET.

The evening’s lineup of presenters includes: Alicia Keys, Janelle Monae, Jamie Foxx, Tiffany Haddish, Lena Waithe, Leslie Odom Jr., Michael B. Jordan, Jodie Turner-Smith, Octavia Spencer, Morgan Freeman, Sterling K. Brown and Tamron Hall. Actor and five-time Image Award winner Anthony Anderson returns as host for the seventh consecutive year.

As previously announced, Rihanna will receive the NAACP’s President’s Award and U.S. Congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis (D-GA) will be presented with the Chairman’s Award.

RCA Records leads in the music recording categories with 14 nominations, followed by Columbia Records and BMG, both tied at seven. Netflix leads the television category nominations with 30, with an additional 12 nominations in the motion picture categories for a total of 42.
