Things got a little awkward on Monday night's (Jan. 27) episode of The Bachelor, when Peter Weber brought contestant Victoria Fuller to a Chase Rice show, only to find out that she "dated" him.

In a new interview with Fitz in the Morning radio show, the country star explained that he and Fuller spent one night together, and he wasn't there for the drama. “We spent a night together in Charlotte, she’s a cool chick, from what I know of her,” he explained. “You know, I got no problem with her. I got no problem with him. You know, I knew she was going on the show.”

While he knew she was part of Bachelor Nation, he added that he was still "really surprised" because his manager and publicist told him, "‘Don’t even worry about that, they’re not going to do that to you, that’s a weird coincidence, but they’re not gonna — there’s no way they would do that to you. They’ve never brought somebody else in like that, surprised the guest on the show.'”

“So the fact they did that to me, it’s over the top, it’s unnecessary, I didn’t expect it,” he continued. “But at the end of the day, it happened.”

But what made him "really pissed off," was the fact that he was on the show just to promote his songs, "Lonely If You Are" and "Eyes On You." "I wanted absolutely nothing — if there’s anything I ever wanted, it’s to have nothing to do with the drama of that show," he said.

Listen to the interview here, with Rice coming in at the 55-minute mark.
