Milo Ventimiglia Catches a Cheating Kate Beckinsale in Bruno Mars Edition of 'Late Late Show' Soap Opera: Watch

Expertly using Bruno Mars lyrics for a steamy dialogue, The Widow star Kate Beckinsale and This is Us' Milo Ventimiglia appeared alongside host James Corden on Thursday night’s (March 14) edition of The Late Late Show’s comical “Soap Opera” sketch.

In the latest episode of the (fictional) soap The Bold and The Lyrical, silky PJ-clad Beckinsale and Corden tried to hide their affair from Ventimiglia. “Out here drippin’ in finesse, a condo in Manhattan, it’s Saturday night and we in the spot,” Corden deadpanned as he dipped into the lyrics to Mars' Cardi B collab “Finesse,” 2016's "That's What I Like" and his 2014 smash hit "Uptown Funk."

“Is it that look in your eyes or is it this dancing juice,” a seductive Beckinsale responded using the words to Mars’ 2011 track, “Marry You.” Corden was then forced to hide in plain sight as Ventimiglia, Beckinsale’s billionaire love interest, walked in.

Wearing a tailored blue suit, Ventimiglia surprised the Brit by kneeling down and again quoting “Marry You,” (“Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you"). “24 karat magic?” Beckinsale hilariously responded when Milo popped open a box with a ring in echoes of the lyrics to the 2016 banger "24k Magic.”

However, it wouldn’t be a soap opera without a bit more drama -- and Ventimiglia soon caught on that Corden hiding under a blanket on the couch. They then dueled with even more passionate lyrics from Mars -- with Ventimiglia? slipping up and quoting Lady Gaga's "Shallow" by accident.

"Oh, right, yeah -- it's been stuck in my head ever since the Oscars, sorry about that," Ventimiglia said as they all broke character for a few seconds before the soap reached its frothy climax.
