Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

You loved them in Talladega Nights. Couldn't get enough of them in Step Brothers. And, chances are you'll spend Christmas day with them in Holmes & Watson. Yes, Will Ferrell and pal John C. Reilly are back at it again, getting ready to invade theaters in the latest reboot of the Sherlock Holmes story. But first, the old friends stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night (Dec. 12) to offer a musical preview of their legendary on-screen chemistry.

Reminiscing about the classic movie lines fans randomly shout at them -- including "Shake and Bake!" and "Boats and hoes!," which gets weird when the kids are around -- the sharply dressed pair got a bit emotional when Kimmel asked about their legendary on-screen chemistry. "It's really good that we're back togeth.... aw, buddy, you all right?" Reilly asked Ferrell as his friend wiped away tears. "It's good to be back together and it's been pretty emotional," Reilly admitted.

As a plaintive organ played in the background, Kimmel offered to give them a break. But, no, professionals that they are, the duo pulled out a pair of microphones and pledged to sing through the pain. And man, did they. With the lights dimmed, they put it into song by crooning the 1978 classic Peaches & Herb R&B ballad "Reunited" like only a couple of comedic actors can.
