Jennifer Lopez stopped by The Tonight Show on Tuesday (Dec. 11) to chat about the VMAs and her forthcoming movie Second Act. She also competed against host Jimmy Fallon in a nerve-wracking guessing game.

Fallon opened by discussing Lopez’s performance at the VMAs, showing a clip of her boyfriend -- former New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez -- getting into it. "He’s come into my life and really contributed in such a way,” said Lopez. “He’s like, ‘Shine…’ Some people try to like dull you down, or you know, squish you down, and he’s so not like that. It’s just so refreshing.”

The 49-year-old singer and actress also shared that she directed her first music video for the song “Limitless,” which was written by Sia for her Second Act film. Her 10-year-old daughter Emme makes her debut in it. “I forgot that I was directing my first video. It was all about her,” Lopez said, adding how proud and emotional she felt over her daughter’s performance.

Lopez next spilled details on the movie itself. “It’s a little bit like Working Girl meets It’s a Wonderful Life," she explained, adding that it was special to have her real friendship with co-star Leah Remini play out on screen.

Additionally, Lopez shared that her character embodies her actual always-pushing-forward spirit. ‘The truth is, I am a Bronx girl…I know what that is,” she said. “That essence is with me…we know this story, and we know that struggle.”

Finally, Lopez played “Can You Feel It?” with Fallon, a game in which the two had to guess what object was in a box without looking at it. After getting through rounds involving a bagel, mini snowman, fake tarantula and toaster filled with sponges, Lopez’s Second Act co-star Milo Ventimiglia came out to get in on the action. The celebrity trio reached their hands into a bowl of guacamole in unison.
