The tribute band you never knew you needed is here. Grindfeld, a metal band dedicated to all things Seinfeld, will release their first EP, 5 Songs About Nothing, on Nov. 23. Each of the tracks is based on an episode of the still-popular sitcom about nothing.

"After what seems like a lifetime of repeat viewings, re-runs and falling asleep to the same laugh track over and over again, Ex and current members of Wretched, Alterbeast, The Kennedy Veil and Rivers of Nihil decided there was more to this simple show about "Nothing'," the band said in a statement. "Making light of the mundane drudgery of average daily life is simply a thin veil laid over the nihilistic truths put forth by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld during the quintessential time in our collective generation's upbringing. Born out of a mutual love of Death Metal, comical observations, coffee and Hardcore, Grindfeld is a project built on the existential dread hidden just under the surface of daily life."

The first song from 5 Songs About Nothing is out now, and can be heard here. The pummeling track, "The Contest," is inspired by the legendary Seinfeld episode of the same name in which the gang take bets on who can refrain from from masturbating for the longest period of time. Luckily, the Grindfeld tribute is just over three-minutes long.
