Willie Nelson grooved Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a country-infused rendition of the Frank Sinatra classic “Fly Me To The Moon” and the original “Vote ‘Em Out” as part of the Mercedes-Benz Concert Series on Tuesday night (Oct. 30).
The 85-year-old country singer stood on a stage surrounded by fans that featured a starry blue backdrop, opening with a twangy rendition of the 1964 classic associated with 'Ol Blue Eyes.
“Fly me to the moon/ Let me play among the stars/ Let me see what spring is like/ On Jupiter and Mars,” sang Nelson, accompanied by a bluesy harmonica. The warm, breezy song came to an end with the piano, guitar and bass joining together on an uplifting note.
