Former Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears performed the lively “Creep City” from his debut self-titled album on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday (Oct. 29). The 40-year-old glam rock singer commanded the small stage, surrounded in a semi-circle by his band, with the blue lights bouncing off his black top hat, gold zigzag jacket and matching pants.

Playing the role of a demented circus ringmaster, Shears opened the dramatic performance dancing around the circular stage and sneering the lyrics, "You said to come and sort your mind/ But did you mean it? Ooh, but did you mean it?," swinging his hips as the saxophone lent the song a jazzy vibe.

“Get me out of this creep city,” he jammed to the danceable chorus. “I’m flat broke and I don't need pity right now/ Just get me out, out, out, out.” Shears livened the bridge by sliding to the floor as he reached for his signature high notes, jiving along to a heat-filled sax solo and ripping off his pants at its conclusion to reveal a leotard and fishnet tights.
