In signature Tenacious D style, Jack Black and Kyle Gass interrupted Jimmy Kimmel's monologue on Thursday's (Sept. 27) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! with an epic-fail entrance to promote their new album/YouTube show Post-Apocalypto.

Attempting to ride a fossil-old black motorcycle, the duo interfered on Kimmel's regular programming with obnoxious noises as their bike failed to work, consequentially ruining their "badass entrance." "I'm sorry, Jimmy, we wanted to do this badass entrance where we were going to rip on this war machine and Kyle was going to blast a burrito canon...but this damn thing!" a frustrated Black yelled.

The duo then claimed they were performing on the show’s live stage later, but Kimmel disagreed. “I don't think you two are playing tonight…you guys are not scheduled to play tonight and even if you were, why would you interrupt the monologue like this?” the confused host asked.

"Because we ride or die, that's why!" Black howled as Gass shot a burrito gun, which also failed to work.

"I have to finish the monologue, but I'll see you guys in like, six weeks." a laughing Kimmel said, kicking the duo out.

Post-Apocalypto's first episode "Hope" offers an animated cartoon exploring the trademarked bizarre dynamics of Black and Gass -- this time attempting to pay rent by making a new Tenacious D album and doing some motorcycle-riding, shark-jumping stunts. When a bomb suddenly falls on Earth, the two hide inside a refrigerator to later get out to a total post-apocalyptic scenery.
