Sharon Osbourne Slams Kavanaugh Hearing, Runs Down 'The Talk' Drama & Says She Still Loves Ozzy's Concerts on 'Kimmel': Watch
Notoriously affable, iconic rock wife, television host, manager and supermom Sharon Osbourne stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday (Sept. 27) for a predictably salty chat with host Jimmy -- touching on her still tender relationship with husband and metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, the recent upheaval on The Talk and her uncensored thoughts on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's contentious hearing.
"Were you watching the Senate hearing today or were you working?” Kimmel asked. “I was watching and working back and forth. It was just amazing! Oh my God, that [Sen.] Lindsey [Graham] person... he looks like he owns some cotton plantation somewhere,” Osbourne quipped. "They all used to hate Trump and now they are all in his back pocket, sniffing his old ass! Be a man and stand up for what you believe. It makes me sick," she added.
"Did you ever think of running for any kind of office here in the U.S.? I mean, The Osbournes were much more popular than The Apprentice was!" Kimmel joked. "I have to say, for a time I thought about going back to England and running for office there," Osbourne said. When asked what changed her mind, she added smiling, "I don't think they could handle me..."
Osbourne also took the time to fill Kimmel in on the drama at her CBS daytime chatter The Talk. "It's like a soap opera every day!" she said, referring to former longtime co-host Julie Chen's drama-filled decision to leave the show after her husband, disgraced former CBS chief executive Les Moonves, stepped down amid sexual misconduct allegations. When Kimmel asked if the show's cast have discussed a substitute for Chen, Osbourne playfully added, "Oh,I've made my decision already... my husband!"
Speaking of heavy metal legend Ozzy -- who's currently in Texas on tour -- Sharon shared how he texts her all day while he's on the road. "He loves to take pictures, he will take pictures of everything and send me... especially his room service. He is cute like that!" she sweetly shared. "Is he an emoji-kind of guy?" Kimmel asked, as Sharon assured him that Ozzy is more of the "real pictures" kind of guy.
Speaking of pictures, Kimmel pulled out a recent Instagram post by Sharon of the family's pool filled with massive ice blocks. Apparently, Ozzy thought it was entirely too hot this summer in Los Angeles, so he ordered 3,000 pounds of ice to pour in their pool. "Is it possible that you guys have too much money?" Kimmel joked.
Kimmel then asked if she ever joins her husband on tour anymore. "Oh yes, I'll go for a weekend and come back on Monday for work," she said of joining Ozzy on what has been deemed his final tour. But does she really still enjoy watching him perform after that many years? "More than ever," she assured, later adding, "Im so proud of him. I love to feel the way the audience loves him and appreciate him... it's magic!"
