Tony Bennett and Diana Krall Deliver a 'Wonderful' Duet On 'Fallon': Watch
Proving that age is nothing but a number, 92-year-old jazz legend Tony Bennett showed off his young spirit on The Tonight Show stage along with Diana Krall on Tuesday (Sept. 18) for a cheerful performance of their joint single "S Wonderful."
Part of their collaborative album Love Is Here To Stay, "S Wonderful" shows how Bennett hasn't lost an inch of power in his iconic voice, while Krall prevails as a big reference in modern jazz.
The pair offered a bright duet for the love song as Bennett's old soul but young character crooned, "You've made my life so glamorous/You can't blame me for feeling amorous/Oh! 'S wonderful! 'S marvelous!/That you should care for me!"
The duo's new album features the New York-based jazz group Bill Charlap Trio, who joined the pair at Fallon, delivering flawless piano chords and guitar solos. Combining strong forces from different jazz eras, the performance highlighted the band's skillful melodies, Krall's deep voice and Bennett's legendary vocal performance.
