Caitlyn Smith Performs Dreamy Rendition Of 'Before You Called Me Baby' On 'Seth Meyers': Watch
Making the absolute best of her debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Caitlyn Smith served up an emotional rendition of "Before You Call Me Baby" as the musical guest on the show's Thursday (Sept. 13) episode.
Performing the single from her first studio album Starfire, the talented singer-songwriter delivered an impressive vocal performance during "Before You Call Me Baby," which features nostalgic lyrics that explore the dark times she experienced before encountering her loved one.
Kicking off with a dreamy guitar intro, Smith looked radiant in an all-black fringy jumpsuit as she recited the lyrics, "Sure is hard to remember/Life before you walked in the picture/I was a sad Mona Lisa with a crooked frame/Standing on my platform, waiting for my train."
Despite the lyric's evident sense of nostalgia, Smith's blissed-out performance showed a cheerful, passionate young artist ready to pour out her emotions through the speakers.
