The Knocks & Foster the People Team Up for Mystical 'Ride or Die' Performance on 'Colbert': Watch
New York electronic duo The Knocks and indie rock sensations Foster the People brought their end of summer magic to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night (Sept. 10), joining forces for a mystical rendition of sinle “Ride or Die."
With a soothing piano intro, the song bumped into along on a thick bass line and clapping drums as an intro to Foster front man Mark Foster's unmistakable soaring vocals. "I know we're getting older but that don't mean it's over/ I know we're getting sober but that's not on my mind," he sang as the lead up to the ear worm chorus, "We can do this every night/ You can be my ride or die/ And we can live this way every day/ Go out like dynamite, I'm living life, ride or die."
The live-in-the-moment, groovy tune is part of The Knock's new album New York Narcotic, due out on Sept. 28.
