Ryan Seacrest Talks Kardashians, Wearing His Girlfriend's Clothes and 'In My Feelings' Hate: Watch
Television host and producer Ryan Seacrest paid a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (Aug. 8), where he opened up about his role as executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, his personal fashion fails, and the hate he received after participating in the highly crazed "In My Feelings" Challenge.
Donning a very sleek, black jacket and trendy sneakers, Seacrest talked about how despite now living in New York due to his show Live with Kelly and Ryan, he still travels back forth to and from Los Angeles to visit his girlfriend Shayna Taylor.
The American Idol personality went on to explain that the last time he went to visit, he decided to be romantic and make dinner for her. While looking in his closet for something to wear, he found a shirt he didn't quite recognize but put it on because it had it was "very soft" and had "a nice dip."
"I put it on and I'm so proud of it and I'm standing by the grill and I say, 'Hey babe, what kind of kebab--' you know, we're grilling kebabs, '--What kind of kebab would you like?' and she says, 'Why are you wearing my shirt?' I was wearing her shirt and I was actually kind of proud of it."
After some laughter from Jimmy Fallon and the audience, the late night host asked Seacrest about his role as executive producer of the popular reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and how that became one of his biggest contributions to the world.
Seacrest went on to explain how Larry King, a close friend of Seacrest's, once had him over for dinner one evening with other guests including Sidney Poitier and foreign leaders. At one point, King told his guests that to introduce themselves to each other they would go around the table and everyone would say what they have contributed. "And I'm thinking, 'Well I haven't done anything.' So I say, 'Have you heard of the Kardashians?' and all of them say, 'Yeah,' and I say 'Well, I helped create that.'"
Fallon later asked Seacrest about the hard time people gave him for his "In My Feelings" Challenge video.
“I go up on a rooftop in New York, and I put on my best music video outfit, no dip to this,” Seacrest quipped. “I’m so proud of it and I’m not a good dancer, but I’m so proud. So, I post it. I’ve never been shamed so much in my life. I didn’t want to leave the apartment.”
However, despite the Internet shaming, Seacrest said some good did come out of his "subpar" video. “The only good that came out of it was I got this urgent email from Drake Enterprises. ‘Hey, we saw your moves. We’d like to put it in the music video,’” he said, before joking, “I knew that was coming.”
