It appears Jack Black has traded in the pick of destiny for a dazzling flaming red polka suit. His latest role as 1970's Polish polka star-turned-convict Jan Lewan in the upcoming Netflix film The Polka King has apparently turned the Tenacious D singer into an expert in the musical genre. On Wednesday night (Jan. 10), Black hit The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to perform "Everybody Polka," an eccentric, clarinet filled polka tune to which Black busted out some serious skills.

Amid a traditional full polka orchestra packed with clarinets, trumpets, and a baffled show audience, Black -- now also known as "The Polka King" -- whipped up a Bohemian flavored performance that is sure to send you signing up for polka lessons. The stage was transformed into The Jan Lewan Show, as Black nimbly pranced around in some ridiculously high-waisted pants while singing out, "Doobie doobie doobie" while trying to get a confused front row audience member to join in.

Black heard the story of Lewan's rapid rise to polka stardom, as well as his decline into the pits of incarceration straight from the man himself. Lewan immigrated to the U.S. from Poland in hopes of becoming a polka sensation and after much success he was arrested for concocting a ponzi scheme which nabbed millions of dollars from fans.

The 76-year old Polish musician shared his life story with Black over Skype calls and the pair have apparently become close as they were seen together at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival where they performed "Rappin Polka."
