Maggie Gyllenhaal, Billie Lourd, and Tim Roth chat with James Corden during The Late Late Show with James Corden on Sept. 27, 2017.

Actors Maggie Gyllenhaal and Tim Roth sat on the couch with James Corden on Wednesday night (Sept. 27), and each had a very funny story to tell about Madonna.

"Maggie, have you ever met any of the great divas?" the Late Late Show host asked.

"I met Madonna," Gyllenhaal answered. "I was at a party after the Oscars, and it was like four o'clock in the morning, and I was drunk. I'd lost my shoes. I went to some party that I was driven to and someone said, 'Madonna wants to meet you.'"

Gyllenhaal revealed that she has been a "huge" Madonna fan and knew "every single word to every single song on Like a Virgin."

In the same segment, Roth added that he'd worked with Madonna on the 1995 movie Four Rooms, which he described as "a stoner movie."

"She was in the first chunk of (the movie)," Roth explained, "which was all about witches, I think, and she was good. She liked to rehearse a little bit at the beginning, and then we told her to lighten up a bit. She was really good. And then ... she was wearing a black rubber dress in the show, as you do -- well she does -- and when we had the wrap party, she'd gone and we'd finished the film, and I stole her dress and put it on."

And then things really got weird. Watch the whole story below:

Gyllenhaal also chatted about her new HBO series The Deuce, about the birth of porn in New York City in the 1970s. She confirmed that she visited a porn set as research for her role on the show.

In a separate segment, Gyllenhaal hinted that she really wants to do "Carpool Karaoke" and even offered to being along her brother, Stronger star Jake Gyllenhaal.
