Taylor Swift and Ellen DeGeneres perform during The 1989 World Tour Live In Los Angeles at Staples Center on Aug. 24, 2015 in Los Angeles.

“Even though we’ve been on the air for fifteen seasons and we’ve made like 62 million hours of television, people are still saying ‘Ellen, show me more,’” Ellen DeGeneres said on last Wednesday’s (Sept 13) episode of The Ellen Show. “And that is exactly what I’m going to.” The comedienne then announced a new series Ellen's Show Me More Show.

“It’s on this site called “YouTube,” the comedian joked with Billboard. “I think it’s pretty new, but I have a feeling it’s gonna be big. I want to get in on it now.” The series lives on Ellen's YouTube channel, which already has an impressive 20 million subscribers.

The series delivers on star power: Demi Lovato and Kim Kardashian are featured guests in the inaugural episode, while Kristen Bell, David Spade and Michael Pena with appear in Thursday's (Sept 22) installment. And while Lovato’s segment features the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer shouting out nicknames for a woman's private parts (koochie! box! Becky!), DeGeneres had this to say when asked whether the series would be more mature than her daytime talkshow: “Are you insinuating I’m immature? Because if you are, then I’m telling on you. No, the Show Me More show is not about being racy. It’s about giving the audience more. More with their favorite celebrities. More hilarious games. More behind-the-scenes footage.”

In the spirit of Show Me More, we asked the comedy icon to tell us more about some of her favorite musical guests over the past fourteen years. Watch the first episode of Show Me More and read DeGeneres' stories about Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, P!nk and more below.

Taylor Swift

When Taylor did her last world tour, Tay-tay asked me to be one of her “surprise guests.” So I showed up at the Staples Center in an outfit that was as sparkly as hers. She had no idea I was going to do that. So when she introduced me and I came up from under the stage, she was quite surprised. She was trying to sing “Style” and was laughing so hard she forgot the words. She blamed it on me, but between you and me, she forgets the words a lot.

Jennifer Lopez

Oh, she’s just Jenny from the Block. You know? She’s so down to earth and real. We were taping our show outside in Orlando, and she had this elaborate performance of “Waiting For Tonight” planned. But Mother Nature had other plans. It poured rain. And she performed anyway. Dancing and crawling around the stage, she was amazing. Don’t believe what you hear, she’s a real professional.

I love her. She’s my friend. And when we were thinking of changing up my show’s theme song, I thought whose voice could I hear every day and not get sick of it. Of course, it’s Pink. Or should I say P!nk. Anyway, she said yes right away. And I’m not sick of it yet.

Kelly Clarkson

Every holiday season we celebrate the “12 Days of Giveaways,” and before we give the audience a bunch of gifts, we do a prank so that they don’t know it’s about to happen. They’re always ridiculous. For example, we had Bradley Cooper reveal that he had five nipples.   And, Blake Shelton read from his new ‘children’s book’, “Blake and His Tiny Little Snake.” So we asked Kelly to perform a fake Christmas song called “Bells.” The only word in the song was ‘Bells’. But she’s so good, the audience thought it was real and started swaying and singing along. I think it got to number 25 on the charts. You might want to double check that stat. [Editor's note: while this song didn't chart, Clarkson's new single "Love So Soft" debuted at No. 62 on the Hot 100 this week]

Justin Bieber

Last season Justin was almost on the show on a weekly basis. One time I had him dress up as a security guard. I made him wear an earpiece so I could tell him what to do and say. He took it very seriously. He created a whole backstory for his character. No one recognized him. I think he took that outfit home.

Chance the Rapper

How talented is Chance The Rapper? He came on the show to perform “No Problems” with Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz.  He decided that he wanted to recreate an label meeting in an office for the performance. He had his dancers, but he wanted some of my staffers to fill in the scene. So we had our interns and PA’s sit around the conference table. The performance was crazy. His dancers were on the table, throwing papers at the staff, and dancing up on them. It was one of the most memorable performances in 15 seasons. And was also the greatest day ever for some of my staff.

Miley Cyrus

For the first time in 14 years I had to take a sick day. We had to find someone to host the show at the last minute. We called Miley at home. She was doing yoga. And a few hours later she was hosting the show. She actually dressed like me and danced like me. She’s so talented. She did a great job. I do it better, but she was good.

Ellen’s Show Me More Show will debut a short-form episode every Tuesday and Thursday on Ellen’s YouTube channel for the next fourteen weeks.
