Stranger Things

You still have almost two months to wait before season two of Stranger Things returns to Netflix. But while you await that Oct. 27 date circled on your calendar, the Duffer Brothers have generously dropped a nearly three-minute retro video game-flavored teaser that refreshes you on the first season via blocky 8-bit graphics and on-screen prompts.

Don't worry, there are plenty of waffles on hand for you to grab as power-ups and the show that celebrates all things 1980s uses the throwback video game premise to great effect, complete with Pac-Man-like gobbling sounds and a 100,000 point jackpot for delivering a might blow to the demogorgon. Plus, everyone is loving how Eleven earns 50 "sass points." The newest teaser makes sense since the previous peek at season 2 took prominently featured an old-school arcade.

And while you're waiting, check out this killer "Stranger Games" game hacked together by Netflix engineer Joey Cato.
