'Will & Grace' Cast Teases Return to NBC With Musical Number
The 12-episode revival launches this fall on NBC.
The cast of Will and Grace had plenty to sing about Monday.
The stars of the beloved sitcom appeared together at NBC's upfront presentation in New York to tout the upcoming 12-episode revival with an elaborate musical number filmed on the Emmy-winning series' beloved set.
In the video, Debra Messing voices her concerns about reviving Will and Grace, worrying if it will be the same as it was before. However, her concerns are washed away by Eric McCormack, as well as Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes, who join her in a song-and-dance routine.
The forthcoming revival reunites the entire core ensemble from the original Emmy-winning series, which ran from 1998-2006. Messing, McCormack, Mullally and Hayes star, joined by original series creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, as well as longtime director and exec producer James Burrows.
The revival was ordered straight-to-series in January after the cast reunited for a short video centered on the 2016 presidential election.
Will and Grace is part of NBC's bid to re-launch the Must See TV brand this coming TV season. The revival of the beloved comedy will be paired with the sophomore comedy Great News, from exec producer Tina Fey. Hit family drama This Is Us will follow at 9 p.m., moving from its former Tuesday perch, following by Dick Wolf's Law and Order True Crime anthology series, the first season of which will star Edie Falco.
