James Corden and Ellen DeGeneres play "Finish the Lyric" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Three music-loving TV stars came together on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday (Feb. 7) to compete on her new segment “Finish the Lyric.”

Amping up to his gig hosting the Grammys this Sunday (Feb. 12) James Corden -- Carpool Karaoke singer-motorist extraordinaire -- went head to head with Ellen DeGeneres in a round of her epic new music-game show segment.

With Jesse Tyler Ferguson as host, a clip of a song plays, and when it cuts off, Corden and DeGeneres need to buzz in and finish the next line of the lyrics. Whoever buzzes in and says the correct lyrics first wins that point.

While Corden got off to a good start, busting out the next line of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” both him and DeGeneres flubbed the next round as Drake’s 2015 smash “Hotline Bling” played.

“Oh no. No. That’s embarrassing,” Corden said, as Ferguson revealed it went straight into the chorus.

With two more rounds consisting of Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money” and Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” the competition was a close one. Watch the debut of “Finish the Lyric” and find out who wins below.
