If Nick Jonas can become an elderly man with the snap of his fingers, why can't he monitor his diabetes just as easily?
That's the premise of the new Super Bowl commercial for Dexcom, a glucose monitoring system that helps people with diabetes -- like Jonas himself -- keep tabs on their glucose levels without having to prick their fingers. Instead, the monitor uses a sensor wire inserted under the skin on your midsection that transmits wireless data that users can track continuously.
"Drones deliver packages, and people with diabetes are still pricking their fingers? What?" Jonas asks in the ad, right after a video-editing trick instantly turns the 28-year-old pop star into an old man.
