If you hoped that Justin Timberlake's upcoming Super Bowl halftime show was a surefire way to see an *NSYNC reunion, you might be out of luck. Boy band alum Joey Fatone talked to TMZ over the weekend and implied that the boys won't be joining JT in Minneapolis on Feb. 4 for the big game.

“I’m here right now," Fatone tells TMZ's cameraman. "If I was doing something, I’d be at rehearsals right now. So obviously, there's your proof."

Fatone was also pretty certain that Timberlake wouldn't bring Janet Jackson onstage after their infamous 2004 wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl. “He’s not that kind of person," Fatone told TMZ. "He’s not controversial like that."

Watch the interview below:

Timberlake -- who struck out on his own back in 2002 with his solo debut album Justified -- is set to perform at the Super Bowl on Feb. 4, just two days after the release of his fourth album Man of the Woods. So far, the singer has released two songs and two corresponding videos from the project.

The *NSYNC guys last performed together in 2013, when Timberlake received the Video Vanguard award at the MTV VMAs. For what it's worth, the guys also denied their involvement in that performance leading up to the show.
