So what happened on the Real-Time Charts this week?

Z100's Jingle Ball rolled through New York on Friday, Dec. 11, bringing a slew of Trending 140 stars including Selena Gomez, Charlie Puth, Fifth Harmony and Alessia Cara. Selena rocked the scene with a medley of hits from her catalog, including her new album Revival, and its lead single, "Good For You," which features A$AP Rocky darted to No. 4 on the Trending 140 after her performance. Notably, the singer also joined her former boyfriend, Zedd, onstage during his set for a live offering of "I Want You To Know." The collaboration featured on the DJ's album, True Colors, which was released in May.

Meanwhile, triple Grammy award nominee Puth also hit the stage, performing his breakout hits "Marvin Gaye" and "One Call Away," and the latter climbed back to a No. 7 showing on the Trending 140 that evening. Plus, the singer-songwriter behind "See You Again" revealed an upcoming duet with Selena Gomez, "We Don't Talk Anymore," forced his debut album, Nine Track Mind, to be pushed to January 29. It's the latest in a string of high-profile duets for Puth, who has collaborated with Meghan Trainor, Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne in the past year. His pairing with Khalifa, "See You Again" was nominated for three Grammy Awards, including song of the year.

Fifth Harmony and Alessia Cara also performed, with the former tackling hits from their Reflection album, including the Trending 140 hits "Bo$$" and "Worth It," which was named the No. 1 song of 2015 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks year-end recap. Cara, the rookie from Toronto, delivered a set anchored by "Here," her alt-R&B expression of an internal monologue of teenage alienation. The 18-year-old's breakout single has topped the Trending 140 on multiple occasions and risen to No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

While the Jingle Ball Festivities raged, The Weeknd rocked a different set - the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The Canadian R&B standout continued his most successful year yet on the Dec. 8 program, performing the Hot 100 No. 1 hit "Can't Feel My Face" and new single "In the Night" on the runway. Earlier that day, the singer dropped the "Night" music video, which blasted the track to No. 1 on the Trending 140 for six straight hours. The clip stars model and The Weeknd's rumored girlfriend Bella Hadid (sister of Taylor Swift squad member Gigi Hadid) in a six-minute violent, fiery music video - complete with murder and mayhem amid psychedelic transitions.

Plus, Miley Cyrus dropped a surprise music video for "BB Talk" on MTV on Dec. 11, which sparked a six nonconsecutive hour run atop the Trending 140 chart. Though the clip plays off its title, featuring Cyrus dressed as a baby – diaper and all – suckling a bottle, in a full bath with a rubber duck and playing in her crib, its not one for the kids: Cyrus' cut tackles an annoying lover, as she sings and speaks in a profanity-laced rant. "Talk" is the third video from Cyrus' fifth album, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, which she surprise dropped after hosting the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards in August.
