Troye Sivan, "Rager teenager!"

Fans are eagerly waiting to her Troye Sivan's new EP — and today, they got another surprise taste of the singer's new music.

On Wednesday morning (Aug. 5), Sivan dropped his latest single "Rager Teenager," a moody song that sees Troye wistfully remembering his younger days of angst, hormones and bad behavior.

In the one-shot video for his song, audiences see Sivan sitting in an empty bathtub as he sings along to the track. As the lyrics and the production continue to ramp up, the singer's face becomes progressively more distorted by some wavy visual effects. "I just want to go wild/ I just wanna f--k s--t up and just ride," he sings. "In your car tonight/ In your bed tonight."

Sivan also made an appearance on Zane Lowe's "At Home With" series on Apple Music to talk about his forthcoming EP In A Dream, and how he decided to go about creating a follow-up to 2018's Bloom. "I didn't go in thinking I was going to write an album," he told the host. "I've got an EP because I was just kind of going through a lot and I just wanted to start writing. I didn't know this EP is such a weird little thing in that all of these songs sound pretty different from each other. And I think the through line, through all of them, is just that I felt like I needed to write that day."

The Australian star also took a moment to shoutout Taylor Swift for Folklore, an album he says he's "obsessed" with. "I feel like for me as a fan, I've also wanted this for years. I think since 1989, I just feel like that was when I truly, truly was like, 'Holy sh-t, this songwriter. I'm such a fan of this songwriter,'" he said. "And now it feels like she just released and let go of any sort of pressure, outside pressure, and just wrote music that she loves and wrote lyrics that it feels like it just went ... I don't know, it's a huge leap for me personally."

Troye Sivan's new EP In a Dream is out everywhere on August 21. Check out his new music video for "Rager Teenager," along with a clip from his Apple Music interview, below:
