In the midst of a global pandemic, Americans have largely turned to one person for reliable medical expertise regarding the COVID-19 outbreak: Dr. Anthony Fauci. As the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and one of the leading members of President Donald Trump's coronavirus task force, Dr. Fauci has been stalwart in advising Americans to stay at home, wear a mask and get tested -- even when the president says otherwise.
Now, comedian Randy Rainbow is asking Dr. Fauci for some not-so-medical advice: How do we stop the president from making things worse? In his new video "Gee, Anthony Fauci," the internet star performs a parody of West Side Story's "Gee, Officer Krupke" to once again lampoon Trump while begging Fauci to take charge.
At the video's start, Rainbow has a fake Zoom consultation with Dr. Fauci, during which he lists off all of the problems he's facing in a pandemic, and asking Fauci for his help. "I just feel there's no leadership," Rainbow explains. "The president is even attacking you! Can't you stop him?"
