While life in quarantine has plenty of downsides, pop singer Sam Smith will be the first to tell you that it also has its own positive moments. And on Wednesday (May 20), they're ready to show fans some of that positivity.

Smith will appear as the latest guest of iHeartRadio's Living Room Series presented by State Farm on Wednesday. In an exclusive clip for Billboard, Smith explains that while being stuck in quarantine has been hard, it's also been enlightening.

"The last few weeks, well the last few months, have been so mad for everyone," they say in the clip. "And I've just been at home, and really weirdly fallen in love with singing again. I've been singing so many different songs, songs that aren't my own."

One of Smith's recent favorite songs to cover, they reveal, is Coldplay's "Fix You." In a moving performance, Smith soulfully sings out the song's pain-twinged lyrics with raw emotion in their voice. Smith even explains that the song has become one of their favorites to turn to during these hard times.

"I love this song, and as soon as I heard it I was just reminded again of how much of a classic it is," they say. "I've never actually seen Chris Martin perform this live, but I really want to, because I've fallen in love with this song after singing it."

Smith will be the latest guest on the iHeartRadio Living Room Series, which has seen artists like SHAED, Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldridge come perform to help raise money for important causes during these hard times. During their session on Wednesday, Smith will be raising money for No Kid Hungry, the charity aiming to end childhood hunger in the U.S. and abroad.

Check out the exclusive clip of Sam Smith covering "Fix You" below, and tune in for their official concert on Wednesday, May 20 on iHeartRadio's YouTube channel at 7 p.m. local time.
