Pabllo Vittar for Calvin Klein

Since the beginnings of her career. Brazilian drag superstar Pabllo Vittar has made it a point to speak out about the issues facing the LGBTQ community. Now, she's taking that message and sending it around the world.

On Thursday (May 14), Vittar was announced as one of the newest members of Calvin Klein's brand new Pride campaign, #PROUDINMYCALVINS. In the official photo (below) released from the star's shoot, the drag persona of Vittar is gone, replaced by a very-lightly made up Vittar posing in the brand's signature underwear, along with a yellow crop top.

Vittar, though, was just one name announced in a nine-person lineup of queer stars, including Chella Man, MaryV, Tommy Dorfman, Jari Jones, Mina Gerges, Gia Woods, Reese King and Ama Elesser.

The shoot's photographer made it clear the importance of having these stories told by queer people for queer people. "Using a cast and crew that spans the full LGBTQ+ spectrum, we wanted to make sure that the entire community feels represented, included and celebrated,” said Ryan McGinley. “My goal is always to create honest photos that connect to the viewer on a human level and show the subject’s power and vulnerability as human beings. This mix is perhaps my most core value as an artist.”
