As the live music industry continues to reel from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, more artists are finding ways to put on their planned shows from the comfort of their own homes. Now, a group of queer artists are ready to rise to the task.
On Thursday (May 14), live event production company JJ|LA announced that starting on Tuesday, May 26, they will be hosting a 10-episode, five week long LGBTQ concert series, "OUTLOUD: Raising Voices," which will help benefit local Pride organizations affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
The first episode will feature the artists originally slated to perform at the cancelled OUTLOUD showcase at this year's South By Southwest. Australian pop singer Betty Who will serve as the headliner for the event, along with performances from artists like Madame Gandhi, Flavia, SWSH, Bang Bang Romeo, PineappleCITI, Pabllo Vittar, Ryan Cassata and Ariel View.
