During a White House press briefing on Thursday (April 23), President Donald Trump made a comment suggesting that light, heat and disinfectant could kill coronavirus in the body. “I see the disinfectant — where it knocks it out in a minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning," he said during the briefing.

While medical professionals rushed to correct the president, urging Americans to not consume bleach or any other kind of cleaning product as a home remedy for COVID-19, internet comedian Randy Rainbow decided to have some fun at the President's expense.

On Saturday (April 25), Rainbow posted a new parody song aimed at the president, titled "A Spoonful of Clorox."

Singing along to the tune of "A Spoonful of Sugar" from Mary Poppins, Rainbow mocked the president's suggestion about disinfectants, as well as his suggestions that sunlight or ultraviolet light could kill the disease. "A politician who distracts/ Has very little time for facts," Rainbow sang. "The scientists he's hired are perplexed!"

Throughout the song, Rainbow suggested everything from "putting Pledge on your pancakes," adding "bleach in your beer," and even singing "slap your mom with a Swiffer," before making clear the obvious danger to his audience through an alert on screen reading "Do not actually drink cleaning fluids."

To send the point home, Rainbow sang that "a spoonful of Clorox makes your temperature go down/ In the most destructive ways."
