People participate in the annual LA Pride Parade in West Hollywood, Calif., on June 9, 2019.

As the coronavirus continues to spread, nonprofit Christopher Street West announced on Thursday (March 12) that all events related to this year's LA Pride have been postponed.

The cancellation is more premature than the slew of other rescheduled events announced this week, as Pride is set to take place three months from now, in June.

"Organizers are assessing the situation," LA Pride's Twitter page shared. "More information to be provided around the postponement as details become available."

LA Pride is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. See the announcement below.
