Most people receive gifts on their birthday, but as he turns 38 today, Adam Lambert is turning the tables and celebrating by giving something to his fans.

On Wednesday (Jan. 29), Lambert posted the cover art for his new upcoming single, titled "Roses." The art shows Lambert sticking to his Velvet-era '70s style with a slicked back, finger wave hairdo and a gorgeous red robe. It also reveals that his new single has a featured guest -- legendary guitarist Nile Rodgers

The new single won't be the first time the two have worked together; Lambert and Rodgers first teamed up for the Idol alum's song "Shady" off of Tresspassing, also featuring pop artist Sam Sparro, and later worked together again on Avicii's track "Lay Me Down."

Rodgers responded to Lambert's post on Instagram with a comment, letting the superstar know what a joy he was to work with. "True artistic, spiritual and humanly love," the Chic founder wrote. "Whenever one of us calls the other, we’ve always got each other’s back! Love and good luck with it!"

"Roses" will be available everywhere on Feb. 4, and is now available to presave here.
