It may be the dead of winter, but Trixie Mattel is ready to hit the beach.

On Friday (Jan. 24), the drag superstar released her latest single "Malibu," a surf-rock jam complete with plugged-in guitars, a hand-clap chorus and some strong summer vibes. In the song, Mattel sings to her lover, who's just the kind of guy she's been looking for: cool, relaxed and not looking for anything serious. "Take your time, everybody says so/ You'll be fine when you learn to move slow," she sings.

The new single comes off the star's upcoming album Barbara, now available for preorder, which the star has promised to be a different, more rock-infused album than her more folksy former projects Two Birds and One Stone. "[Trixie's] still the plastic paragon I've always imagined; a Malibu-mod fashion doll with a darkened wit -- but now there's more," she said. "While Hollywood has afforded me a life of astroturf and pink hi-balls, I've also been wisened by deep love and suspicious tan lines."
