Despite slowly releasing a few new singles throughout 2019, Sam Smith has kept very quiet about their upcoming album and subsequent tour. In a new post, the star is giving fans just a little bit more information.

On Tuesday (Nov. 26), Smith posted a short video clip to their Twitter, showing them performing on a stage with a group of dancers in slow motion as some hypnotic electronic music plays. As if fans weren't already confused enough, Smith added an even more cryptic caption, simply writing, "Rehearsals x."

Some fans were quick to point out that the singer is likely in rehearsals for their upcoming appearances at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball stops in Tampa, Dallas and Los Angeles. Some others speculated that the singer is close to announcing a new tour. But everyone agreed that Smith's dance abilities were only getting better.

While Smith hasn't revealed any specific timelines for the release of their third studio album, they have shared a few key details -- during an appearance on the Zach Sang Show in October, Smith said that the album would be arriving some time in 2020, and promises that the record would be more pop-focused than their previous releases.
