Lady Gaga surprises a superfan with a makeup tutorial for Allure.

In a recent cover story for Allure, Lady Gaga made it clear that her new beauty brand, Haus Laboratories, is an inclusive makeup line for everyone. Today, the star followed through on that promise.

In a new video posted by Allure, a Gaga superfan named Brandon Galaz was told he would be getting a full makeover from one of Gaga's personal makeup artists, Sarah Tanno. At the start of the video, Tanno asked Galaz to read a note he had written to Gaga about how she inspired him. Then, Galaz got the surprise of his life -- Gaga herself appeared from behind a curtain.

After many hugs (and tears) were exchanged, Galaz continues reading his note, now directly to Gaga, about how her song "Born This Way" helped inspire him to come out to his family. "The song made me realize I had to be me -- I came out to my mother and sister, and they immediately accepted me in the blink of an eye," he said, also noting that his father did not accept him in the same way. "But I found strength and the permission to accept myself in your words; 'Don't hide yourself in regret/ Just love yourself and you're set.'"

For the remainder of the video, Gaga took over for Tanno, doing Galaz's makeup for him while talking about the power of owning your truth. "It's not how we look that makes us beautiful, right? It's what we've been through and how we survive," she said. "Coming out to your family...not everyone can do that. Way to go."

Even after leaving the set to let Tanno continue her makeup lesson with Galaz, Gaga still came back, remarking that "my mic isn't on and they can't even hear me," to tearfully thank her fan for his vulnerability with her. "That letter that you wrote, this is why I do what I do," she said through tears. "Thank you for sharing that, that's so vulnerable and so honest and so real. That's not easy what you just changed a lot of people's lives, and when they see this, they'll be less afraid."
