Early Saturday morning (Sept. 7), as RuPaul cut the official ribbon at RuPaul’s DragCon NYC, the superstar host also announced that RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! will hit the Las Vegas strip at the Flamingo starting January 2020.

Directed by RuPaul and choreographer Jamal Sims (Aladdin, Step Up), RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! is an upcoming revue spectacular, highlighting everything you know and love about the hit TV show. Performances will feature slapstick comedy, dazzling fashions, superb singing and dancing, each with their own special twists, as with Drag Race's infamous lip syncs.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! is an immersive, interactive thrill-ride for everyone who loves to laugh, dance and sing along when a fabulous drag queen shakes her padded ass on stage,” said RuPaul in a statement.

Each show will feature seven queens from a rotating cast of Drag Race alumni, including fan-favorites like Aquaria, Asia O'Hara, Coco Montrese, Derrick Barry, Eureka O'Hara, India Ferrah, Kahanna Montrese, Kameron Michaels, Kim Chi, Naomi Smalls, Shannel, Shea Couleé and Yvie Oddly.

“The times that we’re in are so dark and honestly I believe that Drag Race in general promotes a message of love and I think this is another opportunity to spread it,” Sims tells Billboard in an exclusive statement.

The unique score will also include hit songs from the past 11 seasons of the TV show, along with brand new, original music, written by RuPaul, Drag Race composer and singer-songwriter Leland, and World of Wonder's chief creative officer Tom Campbell.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! will begin performances in January 2020, with tickets going on presale Tuesday (Sept. 10) at 10 a.m. PT. For more information, click here.
