Pop sensation Sam Smith has always been open about his sexuality as a gay man. But in a recent post on Instagram, the “Stay With Me” singer showed his fans what it means to feel queer joy.

On Saturday, Smith posted a video to his Instagram, showing the singer marching in London’s annual Pride parade. While Rihanna’s “We Found Love” blasts from a nearby speaker, a grin creeps across Smith’s face as he begins jumping and dancing to the music, surrounded by other participants in the march. “I have truly never felt this proud to be queer,” his caption read. “What a day.”

Smith was marching in the parade with Queer Britain, a national LGBTQ museum based in London, to celebrate the city’s annual festivities.

A number of big-name stars commented on the singer’s post, including Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards, Dinah Jane, Calvin Harris, Tiffany Pollard and Years and Years frontman Olly Alexander. “Love it,” wrote Latin superstar Ricky Martin.
