The touring frontman of Queen also revealed that 'Side A' of his upcoming album 'Velvet' will be available to purchase and stream this September.

Pop/rock star Adam Lambert wants to bring his fans into the world of his upcoming fourth studio album, Velvet. The first song and music video from his first solo project in five years, “New Eyes,” introduced fans to his smooth, funk-driven new sound. Now, Lambert is doubling down.

On Wednesday (June 26), Lambert revealed his newest song and video, "Comin In Hot." The track flows in the same ‘70s-rock vein of “New Eyes,” only now with an added layer of funk, as an aggressive bassline driving the song while Lambert sings about giving in to the burning desire of his lover. “I want your touch come put your hands on me/ I want my love to feed your vanity/ Comin’ in hot,” he croons on the song’s chorus.

The video for the track, a second part to the short film accompanying the release of Velvet, only adds to that sense of uncontrollable desire. Lambert, galavanting around a ‘70s nightclub, encounters a figure called “The Goddess,” portrayed by trans activist and mother of the ballroom house of Yves Saint Laurent Miss Shalae, who casts love spells on the bar’s witless patrons while Lambert gleefully watches.

Along with dropping his new song and video, Lambert also announced that Velvet would be released in two parts, with “Side A” arriving this September, with no word yet on when “Side B” will be released. Lambert is also preparing to embark on a string of North American tour dates with Queen, along with gearing up for the release of Playmobil: The Movie, in which he plays Emperor Maximus.
