When Troye Sivan and Charli XCX announced the creation of their new day-long Pride festival Go West Fest, fans immediately began speculating about whether the duo would be releasing a follow-up to their "1999" single as a result. On Tuesday (June 4), the pair confirmed that the rumors were true.

In a new tweet, Charli offered up a hypothetical scenario that fans had been waiting for. "Imagine if i made another song with @troyesivan and put it on my album and it was even wilder than 1999...." she wrote. Sivan quickly chimed in, writing, "we ARE both performing at #GoWestFest this thursday......"

Charli continued teasing fans, saying, "MAYBE WE SHOULD PERFORM IT FOR THE FIRST TIME ON THURSDAY NIGHT AT #GOWESTFEST AND SLAAAAAYY EVERYONE WITH OUR IMPECCABLE TASTE AND TALENT???!!!!" Finally, the star confirmed the news in a separate tweet, stating that she and Sivan would be doing a live performance of their brand-new song during their performance at the festival, along with a link for fans to purchase tickets.

The duo announced their new festival last month, boasting an almost-entirely LGBTQ lineup, including Carlie Hanson, Leland, Allie X, Dorian Electra and more. Along with providing spaces for queer performers and local artists, the event will also benefit charities, with Sivan donating a portion of the festival's proceeds to the LGBTQ advocacy organization GLAAD.

Go West Fest will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Tickets are still available here. Check out Charli XCX and Troye Sivan's teaser tweets below:
