Randy Rainbow, "BARR!"

When U.S. Attorney General William Barr first made his announcement that Robert Mueller’s report exonerated President Donald Trump of collusion and obstruction of justice, Internet comedian Randy Rainbow made a parody video, wishing that there was more in store from the long-awaited findings. It turns out, the singer got his wish.

In a new video released Monday (April 29), Rainbow took a second look at the now-released Mueller report, this time taking aim at Barr for his role in spreading misinformation with his initial announcement. Singing to the tune of Beauty and the Beast’s famous opening number “Belle,” Rainbow blazes through the various talking heads in the Trump administration, with his main ire focused at “Barr.”

Starting out at a White House press conference, where Barr defended his earlier summary of the Mueller report, Rainbow launches into his song, immediately criticizing the president for trying to undermine Mueller’s investigation by hiring Barr. “Since he really did obstruct/ He said ‘Oh my God, I’m f---ed'/ Then he called Bill Barr and offered him the job,” he sings.

Rainbow proceeds to make fun of various members of Trump’s inner circle, including White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the president’s counselor Kellyanne Conway, and the president’s most infamous lawyer Rudy Guiliani, all while continuing to mock Barr.

The video comes following the release of the complete, yet highly redacted, Mueller report earlier this month, which found 10 instances of potential obstruction of justice by President Trump, leaving the option of impeachment open for Congress. When Barr issued his original summary of the report in March, he said the evidence was “not sufficient to establish that the president committed an obstruction-of-justice offense,” despite saying that the report stopped short of exonerating the president on this charge.

Mimicking the opening scene of Beauty and the Beast, Rainbow also appears throughout the video as various characters from the scene, including Belle (who’s reading the Mueller report instead of a fairytale), Gaston and the townspeople. “And he really is incredible/ For real though he’s incredible/ No, really, he’s not credible/ Bill Barr,” the star sings in the final act of his song.
