Back in February, pop singer Kim Petras announced the end of what she called “Era 1” of her music career, sharing a photo of the neon-style art from each of her 11 singles. Now, it looks like the beginning of Era 2 is upon us.

On Monday (April 22), Petras shared a cryptic photo of herself kneeling in profile, wearing a white leotard and sporting white hair, with the caption simply reading “#KIMPETRAS425,” hinting at a Friday release date for some new music. The tweet came just a minute after she cheekily tweeted “brb saving the music industry.”

Earlier this month, Petras teased her fans with a new single coming soon. On April 2, the star tweeted that “April bout to b the best month,” and when a fan asked her about her new single back in March, she gave them a number of important details. “It’s an April release! And it’s gna b lit and the song title is one word and I’m gonna get that one word tattoo’d,” she said.

Petras’ fans started celebrating the prospect of new music from the star, tweeting out GIFs and photos of celebrities crying to let the world know exactly how they were feeling, with some speculating over whether the release would be tied to the second part of her last EP, Turn Off the Light, Vol. 1. “#KIMPETRAS425 is a holy day now. Praise be,” one fan wrote.
