On Sunday, March 31, the global community celebrated the International Transgender Day of Visibility, a day dedicated to uplifting and supporting the millions of transgender men and women living around the world.

As many in the trans community sent out messages of support and strength, a number of celebrities joined in, pushing not only for their transgender fans and friends, but also for transgender rights.

A number of well-known personalities used their platform to show their followers why this day exists, pointing out a number of facts and statistics further illustrating how transgender people are regularly disenfranchised by our society.
