In an interview with Rolling Stone, rock legend and Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks talked about her love of drag queens and the popular “Night of 1000 Stevies” drag shows.

During the interview, Nicks mentioned that she was well aware of the “Night of  1000 Stevies” ball, an event in New Orleans and New York where attendees dress up in their best Nicks drag. The singer said that she would love to surprise guests one of these years by going incognito.

“I’ll be in such fantastic makeup that I’ll be able to float around,” Nicks said. “Nobody will know it’s me, until I walk on stage and start singing ‘Edge of 17.’ Everybody will faint and they’ll have to call ambulances.”

The singer later expressed that she has nothing but admiration for the dedication the queens have for their craft. She was very flattered by the event, and encourages anyone who is interested to give it a shot.

“Everybody can dress up like me, because there’s so many different mes.” Nicks explained. “You can be any me you want.”

Nicks is currently on tour with new members of Fleetwood Mac. Tour dates and ticket information can be found on band’s website.
