Troye Sivan has a cure for those winter blues: his new video for “Lucky Strike”, out today (Jan. 10), which chronicles a romantic romp on a sunny beach.

The visual opens with Sivan sitting alone with a cooler, lusting after a tattooed bartender. The singer then gathers his confidence and orders “just... whatever” and his potential beau seductively stirs up a cocktail. Among the ingredients, he squeezes what appears to be Sivan’s heart into the cherry-colored concoction.

After their bar rendezvous, our beach-blonde star follows his new crush -- who strips to a bright red Speedo -- into the ocean, and the two drift through the sparkling red water on a romantic boat adventure.

Sivan used the YouTube Premiere Page chat feature to debut the video, allowing him to connect to over 17,000 fans who tuned in for the premiere at noon EST as they viewed “Lucky Strike” for the first time. The video was directed by Emma Westenberg, the force behind Janelle Monáe’s Grammy-nominated video for “Pynk.”

Sivan and Westenberg collaborated with Dropbox on the “Lucky Strike” video and created two short films to document the making of. The first will be available on Monday (Jan. 14) at noon EST here, while the second will post on Wednesday (Jan. 16) at the same time. The films include behind-the-scenes footage and candid interviews on the set of the music video.

“Lucky Strike” is the fourth song from Sivan's Bloom to receive a video treatment, following “My, My, My!,” the title track and his Ariana Grande collab “Dance To This.” It is also the first video from Bloom to be released since the album dropped at the end of August.
