Ever since stepping off of the runway of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Australian star Courtney Act has made a name for herself as a fierce activist for LGBTQ rights. Along with competing on and winning her season on Celebrity Big Brother UK, Act has educated her fans about everything from gender fluidity to the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.

Now, the drag superstar is using her platform to continue the fight with her new power anthem, “Fight For Love.” The dance-pop single, out today (Dec. 19), serves as a reminder that using your voice to uplift those who aren’t being heard is essential. “They might drag us out in cuffs/ But we’re standing up, yeah we’re standing up for love,” Act sings on the new track.

Along with sharing this message of social justice with her fans, Act has placed her bid to make “Fight For Love” Australia’s official song entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. In order to achieve her goal, the star will be performing the new bop at Australia’s national selection television presentation, Eurovision -- Australia Decides, on Saturday, Feb. 9.

"Fight For Love is a dancefloor banger about coming together and fighting for the things we believe in,” Act said in a statement. "I think it’s so important to think about the basic human rights of others and to use our collective voices, minds and bodies to lift those people up and bring about change.”
