If there were ever two pop stars meant to work together, it's Troye Sivan and Charli XCX. Their latest bop, the nostalgia-tinged “1999,” has snaked its way into the collective consciousness, racking up streams and performances on late-night shows like The Tonight Show.

The pair released a new vertical video for their track on Thursday (Nov. 15), showing a behind-the-scenes look at their collaboration. While the regular video for “1999” showed Charli and Sivan impersonating some of their favorite '90s icons, this new video shows the two backstage in a dressing room and a bathroom, lip-syncing their hearts out to the track.

Along with their color-coordinated dressing-room dance party, the video also intermittently cuts to footage of their first performance of the song together at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. In one moment of the new clip, Charli is seen on the streets of New York, on her way to meet Troye at his high-profile gig.
