While he’s best known as a multi-talented musician, Adam Lambert is also a fashion icon. Known for his sometimes outlandish but always put-together looks, the American Idol alum has a flair for style.

That inherent fashion sense was on full display in the star’s new interview and photo shoot with Schön magazine. Sporting long, gnarly hair and an array of different bohemian outfits, the singer looked unlike we have ever seen him before.

In the accompanying interview, Lambert talked about life as the touring frontman for Queen, one of the most successful rock groups of all time, his new role in the upcoming Playmobil: The Movie and his next album.

Along with teasing multiple future projects, the 36-year-old star also spoke on the current climate for the LGBTQ community, saying that while there are still problems for the community to overcome, he has hope. “I think the biggest enemy of the LGBTQ+ community right now is indifference,” he said. “It’s people just feeling like victims, and then just sitting around and taking it. That’s the problem. What’s so exciting right now is that so many people are mobilizing and encouraging people to step up. We have to get involved politically.”
