If you’re a living person in November 2018, then you have likely seen countless celebrities across your social media telling you to get out and vote today (Nov. 6). Some have simply posted Twitter messages, others have fronted online campaigns, and some are even going out to meet with potential voters to get them to the polls.

Bob the Drag Queen decided to throw his hat into the political ring earlier this week when he and a bevy of other drag stars traveled to Minneapolis for MTV and OutFront Minnesota’s first annual “Drag Out the Vote” event. Part drag show and part early voting effort, the event brought in young, voting-age people to watch drag stars like Bob perform before being ushered on to a bus to go vote early at their local polling place.

“It’s super important now, because of everything that’s happening,” a young voter named Jacob told Bob in a video published to MTV News’ Twitter account. “But it’s always been important for LGBTQ people. We have historically been marginalized and legislated against and fought against for so many decades. So it’s extremely important for us.”

Check out Bob the Drag Queen dragging voters to the polls in the video clip below, and be sure to watch Bob and his fellow Drag Race queens kiki in our new “Spillin’ the Tea” series this Thursday.
