RuPaul arrives at the Los Angeles premiere of "A Star Is Born" on Sept. 24, 2018, at the Shrine Auditorium.

October is over, which means, whether you like it or not, the winter holiday season has begun. Celebrators everywhere have begun decorating their homes and making their plans, while many recording artists have officially begun the now-annual tradition of releasing new holiday-themed music.

RuPaul is one of those artists; yesterday (November 1), Ru dropped his brand-new Christmas album Christmas Party. Consisting of brand new original songs like “Hey Sis, It’s Christmas” and retreads of past Christmas catalogue like “My Favorite Holiday” and “Christmas Cookies,” the Drag Race creator and host has pulled out all of the stops.

The brand new album comes in tandem with the announcement of a brand new Christmas special from Ru -- RuPaul’s Drag Race Holi-Slay Spectacular -- in which fan favorite queens will come back for a Christmas lip sync competition to see who is crowned the show’s first ever “Christmas Queen.” Appropriately, there’s even a new song on Ru’s album with the same title.

Christmas Party marks Ru’s third holiday album after Ho Ho Ho and Slay Belles, and features the queen’s signature mixture of party anthems, vocal ballads and, of course, pure campy drag queen comedy.
